About

Kristyn’s roots run deep in South Texas. She grew up in Victoria and has cherished family memories in both Victoria and neighboring Calhoun County— including more than a few birthdays spent enjoying Barkett’s famous stuffed crab.

Before law, Kristyn’s first career was a middle school English teacher. She’ll tell you that 12- and 13-year-olds may still be her toughest audience — but those four years gave her an enduring respect for educators, a strong work ethic, and the confidence to speak in front of even the most critical crowds.

Drawn to a new challenge, Kristyn returned to school full-time to earn her J.D. After passing the bar, she launched her legal career at Shell Trading U.S. Company, where she drafted and reviewed thousands of contracts for oil and gas traders. She ultimately led a global project team that automated Shell’s contract administration.

To be closer to family, Kristyn and her husband Stephen made the easy decision to come home to Victoria. She joined CCES because she appreciated its long legacy of advocating for this community. Kristyn has personal experience with the impact of injury on individuals and families, and she brings both empathy and dedication to every client she serves. She is here to listen, to advocate, and to ensure you receive the support you deserve.

Outside of work, Kristyn serves on the Our Lady of Victory Catholic School Advisory Council. You will likely see her following her two energetic boys around to their various sporting and school events. In her spare time, she enjoys a not-so-leisurely walk with her lively English Spaniel and cheering for her beloved Aggies.
